Who I am:
I am a full time nurse and part time baker who takes pride in making delicious baked goods and treats so you don’t have to. I have been baking since I was 11 years old. My mom didn’t enjoy baking so I am self taught through a lot of trial and error over the years.
As a mother and grandmother, it is important to know what is in the food we eat. Many of our comfort foods are tied to childhood memories or times spent with loved ones. The aroma of a favorite dish can instantly transport us back to a warm, safe place, evoking a sense of security and happiness. This is what I hope my baked goods bring to your table-happiness and new memories.
I was nicknamed Momma G by my sons’ friends who frequently enjoyed my baked treats and…. it stuck! Over the last few years our family has been plagued by several deaths, including one of my sons, (Matthew) in 2020. He was my biggest fan and supporter in all things. His favorite cookie was a simple peanut butter and chocolate chip cookie that is available under the name The Tonto. Baking is how I manage the grief that can become overwhelming and I have found baking and bringing joy to others through baking helps me in the healing process.
I appreciate you taking the time to check out what I have to offer.
Forever Matthew’s Momma G.
